Chocolate Chip Cookies
Baking is so therapeutic, its a de-stresser and can be so calming. This recipe is for those days you need a pick me up. Its so so simple to make, and takes no time either.
You will need:
- 150g Butter- salted
- 80g Light brown muscovado sugar
- 80g Granulated sugar
- 2 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 225g Plain flour
- 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 200g plain chocolate chips
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 190c, and line two baking trays with baking paper/parchment paper
- Put the butter and both sugars (muscovado and granulated) into a bowl and beat until creamy.
- Beat in the vanilla extract and egg, and sieve in the flour, bicarbonate of soda.
- Add the chocolate chips, and gently mix it into the mixture with a wooden spoon
- Using a teaspoon, place small mounds on the baking tray, making sure they are well apart from each other- as they do expand.
- Bake in the oven for 8-10 mins, once they're done leave to cool until the cookies have hardened a little.
See as easy as that! Your kitchen will smell fabulous. All you need now is a nice book and a cup of tea.
