Chocolate Chip Cookies



Baking is so therapeutic, its a de-stresser and can be so calming. This recipe is for those days you need a pick me up. Its so so simple to make, and takes no time either.

You will need: 
  • 150g Butter- salted
  • 80g Light brown muscovado sugar
  • 80g Granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 225g Plain flour
  • 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 200g plain chocolate chips





Method: 
  1. Preheat the oven to 190c, and line two baking trays with baking paper/parchment paper
  2. Put the butter and both sugars (muscovado and granulated) into a bowl and beat until creamy.
  3. Beat in the vanilla extract and egg, and sieve in the flour, bicarbonate of soda.
  4. Add the chocolate chips, and gently mix it into the mixture with a wooden spoon
  5. Using a teaspoon, place small mounds on the baking tray, making sure they are well apart from each other- as they do expand.
  6. Bake in the oven for 8-10 mins, once they're done leave to cool until the cookies have hardened a little.
