Morphe Brushes Galore!
I recently purchased the Morphe Brush 11 piece professional sable brushes from beautybay.com. The brushes have a mix of both synthetic hair as well as goats hair.
First impression?
The brushes are so soft to touch, and are perfect for the skin. Unlike some brushes they're not rigid so its not harsh on your face. The handles of the brushes have a firm grip, so there won't be any brushes slipping off your hands. I also liked the fact that some of the brushes came with a protective cover, it means that the brushes stayed in shape through its journey to me.
Who are these brushes for?
It's pretty obvious from the name of the brushes they are for pro's, but they can easily be used by us everyday users. The brushes don't have names so if you're a beginner it might be difficult for you to differentiate between them.
But don't fret, because I'm here with a helping hand. I have catergorised the brushes into four groups:
1- The base
These brushes are great for your foundation. The flatter brush are best used with liquid foundation, its easy to apply with and will give you and even flawless look. The brush to the right is the stippling brush, in my opinion this gives the ultimate air brushed look and creates high definition results.
Continuing with the base, a fluffy brush is best to used to apply powder. The brush will attract enough products to simply sweep through your whole face.
2. Cheeks
My favourite part! The brush to the left is perfect to use for contouring you cheeks, the brush is slightly slanted and it fits into the hollows of your cheeks.
Contour Brush |
The brush on the right, can be used to apply your blusher, and should be applied on your cheek bones.
Eyes
Finally the eyes, here you have a selection of some base shadow brushes and some blending brushes. The flatter brushes are great to layer on the base eye shadows. The third brush from the left can be used as the crease brush, to add the pop of colour on your eyelids. Finally the brush on the far end is used to blend in the eyeshadows to give the professional look.
These brushes are perfect to use for applying gel eyeliners. You can use both brushes combined to create the classic winged liner.
I hope you enjoyed reading this and really hope it helped some of you.
Love and Peace,
Masuda
